Right now freediving in Siargao is not very convenient. Waves and current make every dive to a drift dive.
If you always have to take care that you don’t drift too far you cannot relax and get in the zone.
For that reason I am planning a permanent setup to conncet a freediving buoye to in the bay of Santa Fe. This really could be a game changer for freediving in General Luna, Santa Fe and all Siargao. If we can provide good freediving conditions more and more people will start freediving here.
To make this happen I started to talk to the Barangay Santa Fe and we will submit our proposal at DENR soon.
So fingers crossed and let’s hope all will work out.
